It starts at my favorite cathedral in Durham a building over 1000 years built in Norman style Managed by volunteers with heart and pride for their cathedral and tell you very mysterious and old stories about this building the history you can touch

Durham is a cosy little town on a hill surrounded by river Wear. It has also amazing pubs and a very good Italian restaurant. We loved or stay there, visited it for the first time in 2014.

if you are staying in Durham for a few days and are looking for a good safe place for your car, I recommend parking at Riverwalk parking

At night, the garage is closed. we paid 16 pounds for 3 days and nights
can't complain about that..

Whitby

The replica of Captain Cook's ship is in the harbor with fish baskets everywhere along the quay over the bridge and you walk towards the 199 steps

Upstairs, where there is an old graveyard and a ruin of the andij.

Bram Stoker partly wrote his book Dracula in this town in 1890, he also found inspiration here because you also feel, especially around Halloween, that this town has mystical secrets.

has.

Here are around 8am walking tours where you will be told the haunted past. opposite the abbey is a brewery where you can also get a pizza baked.

strengthened again you go down the 199 stairs and back into the old town or walk at the beach

York

York is also a beautiful place where you as an artist or illustrator can get your inspiration you walk under umbrellas in a street you enter a medieval quarter called the Shambles, the traces of Vikings are still visible and it seems like every minute a Harry Potter figure shows up around every corner
walk on the city wall with a beautiful view to the cathedral we ended up at the railway museum which is also worth a visit.
