When my daughter was in college, Together with her fellow students she (meanwhile her best friends) organized showcases for musical fellow students for give them a chance on stage. I was there and always made a report about it, Meanwhile 8 years further, I hope the musicians have their carrier they were dreaming about The bookers of NEWb's have all different job's as booker but they are still good friends and are happy with their lives.

Gisterenavond was ik getuige van dat Nederland wel degelijk talenten heeft, Ik mocht als fotografe mee deelnemen aan een geweldige avond die werd georganiseerd door het team van NEWB BOOKINGS.
zij willen bands een kans geven .

Yesterday evening I was witness of an amazing event, I know for sure.. Netherlands has talents I was ask for take photo's from bands who played that evening which was organised by the team of NEWB BOOKINGS.
they want bands give a chance.

Ik kwam met de trein aan uit het Zuiden in een zonnig Rotterdam,sprong bij Natasja achter op de brommer, en we reden over de mooie Erasmus brug naar de soos van de studentenvereniging Pisculentis.
daar moest alles nog klaargezet worden en opgebouwd, en toen ik aankwam in de soos zat een jongen achter de piano,de piano viel me dan gelijk ook op omdat deze zo oud en mooi was, de jongen achter de piano speelde erg mooi ik dacht die heeft talent.
.Anita, Jos, Natasja and Erik of the NEWB bookings team (Sujandra and Sandra Reemer are missing on the photo) for more information about this enthusiastic team follow this LINK I came up with the train from the South in a sunny Rotterdam, jumped in on the moped with Natasja, and we drove over the beautiful Erasmus bridge to the Club of the students ' Association Pisculentis.
There was a lot to do we have to built up a lot and everything still staged and when I arrived in the Club a boy sat at the piano, I notice the piano because it was old and beautiful , the guy behind the piano played very nicely I thought he has talent.
Hij is lid van het bandje MAFH ze komen uit Dirksland.
MAFH bestaat uit 2 leuke muzikanten, en ik zag al vrij snel dat beide heren talent hebben, daar wilde ik best meer van horen informeerde naar hun website of youtube zodat ik hun kon promoten op mijn websites,
ze vonden het vreemd dat ik enthousiast over ze was, daarbij had ik ze net pas gezien, maar ik zei dat ik kunstenares ben en wij dat nu 1maal hebben ,vinden we iets cool dan laten we dat even weten ook..bij deze..MAFH hou ze in de gaten.(voor info over deze band, neem contact met NEWB bookings en vraag naar Anita).ojah...er werd een filmpje gemaakt hoe ik bij de piano stond ,en er voor mij gespeeld werd..wil de filmmaker ( ERIK!!!!joehoe.. ) mij svp dat filmpje ff toesturen.. (kan via Natasja..)egaal hoe het geluid is ,ik kan het dan op deze site toevoegen..thanks!!
He is a member of the band MAFH they come from Dirksland.
MAFH consists of 2 nice musicians, and I notice pretty quickly that both gentlemen have talent, I wanted to hear more of their best informed to promote their website or youtube , they found it strange that I got excited about them, I had only just seen them shortly. So I said, I am an artist we have an eye to that and spread the word very fast.
MAFH keep an eye on them. or better ears..(for info on this band, contact NEWB bookings and demand for Anita). ojah ... There was a video made how I stood at the piano, and the boy played and sang a Dutch song ...would the film maker (ERIK!!!!yoohoo.. Please send me that video ,can be done by Natasja ...)even how the sound is, I can add it on this page ...thanks!!
We zijn nog boodschappen gaan doen (voor het eten vanavond), en omdat de winkelwagen best vol was,en we geen boodschappentassen hadden, hebben we de winkelwagen maar even meegenomen naar de soos, maar daarna wel weer terug gebracht uiteraard, zo zijn we dan toch weer, aangekomen in de soos was Jazzalara inmiddels arriveert, samen met haar vader haalde ze haar nieuwe rode keyboard uit de verpakking, en begon deze op te zetten, inmiddels waren anderen bezig met het checken van het geluid, hun hadden een verkeerde kabel met aansluiting meegekregen zo hadden ze nog maar 1 microfoon, dankzij een medewerker van de soos werd toch een oplossing gezocht voor de 2de microfoon en kwam toch nog alles goed.
We went shopping (for eating tonight), and because shopping cart was full, and we had no shopping bags, we walk with the the shopping cart to the Club, but later brought it back, of course, as we are yet again, arrived in the Club Jazzalara was arrives with her father she took her new red keyboard from the packaging, and started this build up, others were now busy with checking of the sound, their had a wrong cable with connector's inferiority so they had only 1 microphone, thanks to an employee of the club nevertheless was a solution for the 2nd microphone still came and everything went fine ...
Jazzalara begon met haar soundcheck en toen ik haar stem hoorde dacht ik, wow ,weer eentje met talent wat een avond gaan wij tegemoet, ze maakt jazzmuziek gecombineerd met moderne muziek en wordt geïnspireerd door Ella Fitzgerald en Stevie Wonder, Ze speelt zo prachtig en zingt zo mooi,
sinds haar 15de heeft ze met andere jonge jazzmuzikanten en in jazz groep gezeten waar ze zelfs meegespeelt hebben op het north sea jazz festival, maar ik zou haar een kans gunnen om ook eens solo aldaar te mogen spelen, wanneer ik zo dadelijk de namen van de 6 bands -muzikanten ga noteren met daaronder de foto´s die ik van hun gemaakt heb, hoef je maar op de naam te klikken en je komt op hun website of myspace,facebook terecht, zo kun je wat nummers van hun horen.
Jazzalara began her sound check and when I heard her voice I thought, wow,another talent. what a night we will have, she makes jazz music combined with modern music and is inspired by Ella Fitzgerald and Stevie Wonder, she plays so wonderful and sings so beautiful, since her 15th she has with other young jazz musicians and jazz group seated where they even have join at the north sea jazz festival, but I would give her a chance to see her solo there, after this i add from each band few photo's and when you click on the names you find their website or myspace, facebook, so you can hear few of their songs.
nu had ik al vroeg, of eerder laat in de middag 2 sound checks gehoord en dacht, gelijk weer aan die bezuinigingen he. .ik dacht die Nederlandse regering weet niet hoe rijk ze zijn met de talenten die in hun land rond lopen maar weet je wat ik prachtig vind, kunst en cultuur vecht, we komen er wel, talent komt er wel, neem nou de studenten van inHOLLAND ROTTERDAM met de teams NEWB´s, zo heb je naast de bookings bureau ook radio, tv, audio, waar Lara bij zit,ze helpen elkaar, de een kan voor de ander iets betekenen, en nu met internet..is het nog sneller aan de man te brengen. Met deze website wil ik een klein steentje bijdragen om hen een beetje in de richting te helpen,(ik realiseer me trouwens net dat ik wel geweldig tekst aan het schrijven ben maar deze moet ook nog in het Engels he...oeps)

I already heard 2 sounchecks, and thought, equal to those cuts on art and culture we will have. I thought that Dutch Government don't know how rich they are with all those talents run around in their country but you know what I think, it's beautiful, art and culture fights, we arrive there, talent is there, take the students of inHOLLAND ROTTERDAM with the teams NEWB´ s, there is besides the bookings Office also radio, tv, audio, wich Lara joined, they help each other, could mean something to each other, and now with internet ...is it even faster to the public. With this website I would like to make a small contribution to help them a bit in the right direction, I'm going to add few picture of the preparations and behind the scenes of a great evening organize by NEWB BOOKINGS named SHOWCASE ROTTERDAM

Hij liep rond met zijn schrijfblok en vroeg iedereen :"zeg eens wat leuks"volgens mij zocht ie weer naar inspiratie, ik heb mijn slogan gezegd (I have no clue about art, i just make it) je weet maar nooit ooit zou ie eens een song schrijven over een of ander kunstenares...zoiets als Lou Reed ooit heeft gedaan over Andy Warhol....... ;) :D
he walk around with his writing pad ans ask everyone to say a funny slogan, he was certainly searching for inspiration. so I came with my ART slogan which on my website, Ï have no clue about art, I just make it.."could be just happen like Lou Reed write songs about an artist named Andy Warhol..oh girl stop dreaming..;))

zo deze heren gingen ons een lesje moshpit geven,
ze hadden hun fans meegenomen die helemaal uit hun dak gingen en wij stijve harken konden gewoon met bewondering kijken..niet iedereen is gewend aan deze muziek maar het zijn hartstikke leuke gasten we hebben gewoon genoten van hun act..top boys..

they had taken their own fans who went all the way from their roof ,and we stiff rakes could just look with admiration and ...not everyone is accustomed to this music but we have just enjoyed it ,it was big fun and an amazing act.
